See, Know, Do: How DataQI Orchestrates Manufacturing Operations

DataQI is an enterprise Manufacturing Optimization platform designed as a suite of integrated tools that enable factories to See More, Know More, and Do More.

The current state of manufacturing data is a tale of two extremes. Manufacturers are either drowning in noise, overwhelmed by millions of disconnected sensor readings, or they are starving for data, running blind with no visibility into their operations at all.

Whether you have too much data or none at all, the result is the same: blindness. You cannot fix what you cannot see.

Currently, only 16% of manufacturers have real-time visibility across their operations. The rest rely on manual inputs, fragmented spreadsheets, and tribal knowledge to make high-stakes decisions. This disconnect forces competent teams into a cycle of reactive firefighting rather than proactive orchestration.

We built DataQI to close this gap. It is an enterprise Manufacturing Optimization platform designed not as a "magic wand," but as a pragmatic suite of three integrated tools: Insights, Assistant, and Agent. Together, they enable a factory to See More, Know More, and Do More.

Here is what that looks like in a single day on the factory floor optimizing operations with DataQI.

08:00 – See more with DataQI Insights

A Production Manager starts their shift. In the past, their morning ritual involved chasing down paper logs and manually collating yesterday's production numbers from three different systems. Today, they simply opened DataQI Insights.

The dashboard immediately flags an anomaly. While the night shift report says "all clear," DataQI's unified view shows a trend of micro-stoppages on Line 3 that began at 04:00 AM.

DataQI Insights doesn't just show raw data; it contextualizes it. By connecting PLCs, sensors, and legacy machines that were previously "dark," the platform provides a single source of truth. The Production Manager can see the OEE drop in real-time, correlated against the specific asset performance, allowing them to catch a developing bottleneck before it ruins the day's throughput target.

10:30 – Know more with DataQI Assistant

The issue on Line 3 turns out to be a "Tool Changer Misalignment" alarm. The on-shift engineer is new and hasn't seen this specific error on this legacy CNC machine before.

Usually, this would trigger a hunt for a physical manual, a search through a shared PDF drive, or a wait for a senior technician to arrive. Instead, the engineer opens DataQI Assistant and asks: "What causes alarm 305 on the CNC Mill, and how do I fix it?".

The assistant doesn't guess. It retrieves the exact procedure from the digitized technical manual and correlates it with a maintenance log from six months ago where a similar issue occurred. It provides a step-by-step resolution based on verified company data.

Powered by NVIDIA

This isn't a standard keyword search. Under the hood, DataQI employs a sophisticated Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline powered by the NVIDIA AI stack.

  • We utilize the NVIDIA Multi-Modal Data Extraction Blueprint and our own proprietary extractors to parse complex technical manuals, understanding not just the text, but the diagrams and schematics essential for repair.
  • To ensure the engineer gets the right answer, we use the NVIDIA models to create contextual embeddings of the data, and NVIDIA reranking to filter through thousands of documents and rank the single most relevant solution.

14:00 – Do more with DataQI Agent

The machine is fixed, but in a traditional factory, the work isn't done. The administrative burden remains: logging the fix in the MES, updating the maintenance schedule, and notifying planning that capacity is restored. Often, this admin happens hours later, or never.

DataQI Agent has been watching the data stream. Recognizing the machine status change and the resolution pattern, the Agent takes action. It automatically logs the downtime reason, triggers a workflow to schedule a follow-up calibration check for next week, and updates the planning dashboard to reflect that capacity is back to 100%.

Secure, on-premise intelligence

Crucially, this autonomy happens entirely within the factory's secure environment. We understand that operational data is a competitive advantage that must be protected.

  • DataQI Agent runs on NVIDIA models hosted directly on your on-premise infrastructure.
  • No external connection is required for the AI to reason or act. No data leaks out, and nothing gets in. It is a closed-loop, secure system designed for mission-critical operations.

The continuous improvement engine

By the end of the shift, the Production Manager hasn't just "managed" production; they have optimized it. A potential downtime event was spotted early (Insights), diagnosed instantly (Assistant), and resolved with zero administrative friction (Agent).

This is the difference between "hype" and utility. We don't just build models; we build outcomes. DataQI turns the fragmented noise of the factory floor into a synchronized engine of continuous improvement.
